An Update on First Century Fellowships
Over the past several weeks, a small group of founders and collaborators have been meeting to prayerfully consider the future direction of First Century Fellowships.
These conversations have clarified that First Century Fellowships exists to support and strengthen the Body of Christ, particularly at the level of home fellowships, without replacing or competing with existing ministries.
What This Is
First Century Fellowships is a para-church support effort focused on:
- Helping believers establish and sustain home fellowships
- Developing practical toolkits for fellowship leaders
- Providing guidance for mediation, pastoral care, and ethical boundaries
- Encouraging unity across ministries without coercion or control
What This Is Not
- Not a denomination
- Not a governing authority
- Not a replacement for churches or ministries
- Not personality-driven
Christ alone is the Head of the Church.
A Prayerful Foundation
These discussions have been grounded in prayer, Scripture, and humility. We are committed to moving forward carefully, transparently, and in obedience to God—seeking unity rather than division and service rather than control.
More information will be shared as foundational documents and resources are completed.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” (Psalm 127:1)
We are grateful for the continued prayers and encouragement of the broader Body of Christ.
